Finance and Practice Manager- Pershore

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Finance and Practice Manager to join the team in Pershore.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overall management responsibility for the finance function.
  • Production of monthly management accounts, KPI’s and other financial reports.
  • Compliance with the ICAEW and other regulatory requirements.
  • Providing commercial support to the teams across all the offices.
  • Managing facilities, IT and HR.
  • Managing and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
  • Management of the sales ledger including direct debit collections and credit control.
  • Expenses and disbursement management for the firm.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Continued development internal systems and the practice database.
  • Support with adhoc projects and the continued growth of the business.

The individual

We are looking for the right person to fit in with our expanding team in Pershore.

The individual should have the following qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified having trained in Practice.
  • At least 2 years post qualification experience.
  • Knowledge of Xero software.
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of report writing.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, flexible and keen to learn.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Driving licence is essential.


The role will be based in our Pershore office.

Working hours

Our working hours are:

  • 8 hours a day on Monday to Thursday between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm (with an unpaid break of at least 30 minutes and up to 2 hours); and
  • 5.5 hours a day on Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 2.30pm.


We are looking to offer a very competitive salary package based on the level of experience of the individual.

Receptionist/Administrator – Ledbury

Crowthers Accountants are a team of passionate accountants and industry experts who give a personal approach to accounting and tax. We are a close-knit team of around 40 employees spread over 4 unique offices in Cheltenham, Pershore, Ledbury and Twyning.

We are looking for a proactive, dynamic and hardworking individual to support the Ledbury team with all reception and administration duties on a part time basis (25-30 hours a week).

The role

  • Provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Ledbury team
  • To provide a favourable first impression of the firm to anyone who contacts us
  • Answering the telephone and taking messages
  • Making appointments and introducing visitors
  • Scanning post and keeping the filing up to date
  • Fee posting on our systems and database maintenance
  • Monitoring stationery
  • Assist with credit control
  • Tax return administrative work
  • Company secretarial work on occasion
  • Other general office and secretarial work when required
  • Work with the rest of the administration team across the firm to streamline and improve processes

The individual

Proven work experience in a Receptionist/Administrator role within accounting or similar industry.

  • Will have good IT skills, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Hands on experience with accounting software (desirable, not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills & proactive
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, flexible and keen to learn


The role will be based in our Ledbury office, although there will be occasional work in our other offices in Cheltenham, Twyning and Pershore.
